The Porringer - a shallow small bowl originating in the medieval period in Europe, made of pewter or silver - European porringers have two handles on opposite sides..sometimes known as bleeding cups but used for porridge and soups. This simple shape from every day life, with studio brushes and rope. Oil and gesso on board in hand painted frame.
