The egg is a perfect shape, archaic fragile yet strong enough to survive the passage of time. It’s geometry, seemingly born from a supreme being, is the common denominator between species. For all living beings, the egg is defined as a formal universal symbol of life. This painting takes place in my studio, it is a still life featuring my painting desk and objects in my studio. The objects are placed where they wouldn’t normally be. For me it is about the uncertainty of life. “I’m so happy cause today I found my friends, they’re in my head…” Kurt Cobain.
