Many Roman garden-scene frescos depict a small fountain amongst the abundant foliage of their dream gardens. I'm enchanted by the Roman's ability to bring the sound of water to their homes, irrigated by the mighty Aqua Augustus aqueduct: the smallest fountains with the cooling harmony of running water, concealing conversations and blocking the humdrum everyday of the outside world.
