My Italian pasta bowl with its beautifully painted rose, so different to the delft I've been collecting, its earthearnware ceramic is so much more primitive but has the feeling of being so much part of life, used and loved! It sits perfectly in the corner of my studio below my birdcage table, catching the light, reminising.
