Mixed media on paper. 32 cm x 42 cm. Years ago my family and I discovered a ruin of a house in the vineyard region of la Geria. The house had a great ancient olive tree growing through the middle of it, returning it to the ground, at the back there was a natural well, very unusually for the dry baren area. We dreamed of one day restoring the building, dreaming of a life making wine..last year when I visited I had the most delicious malvasia seco white wine in a restaurant, from a new vineyard..so the following day we went searching for it. Only to discover the most amazing, dynamic transformation of the little house! This is my ode to vineyard Stratvs, its modern simplicity and tradition in the form of one of a wine barrel. SOLD
